Speed Plus

For Any Athlete Age 9-12

 

The ETS Speed Plus Program is designed to enhance the development of each athlete’s fundamental motor skills.

Skill development such as running, jumping, throwing, catching and kicking are key components of athleticism for any athlete and must be taught at an early age to maximize their potential.

This will allow for continued speed and strength development as each athlete continues to grow through elementary school, middle school, high school and beyond.

 

Speed Plus Sessions Include:

 

ETS DYNAMIC WARM UP- The ETS Corrective Warm-Up uses neuromuscular specific exercises to prepare the body for activity while addressing bio-motor abilities used during sports. The ETS Dynamic Warm-Up will increase heart rate, respiratory rate and blood flow to the muscles while actively working each muscle through a full range of motion.

SPEED TECHNIQUE/LINEAR SPEED- Learn how to maximize your Acceleration and Max Speed Potential by learning the correct running mechanics.

DECELERATION- We will teach each athlete how to absorb force when slowing down (or decelerating) and how to land softly when jumping to avoid injury.

AGILITY/LATERAL SPEED- We will focus on improving footwork and lateral speed through our ETS unique “Lateral Load to Explode” Philosophy and Training Methods to maximize each athlete’s ability to change direction efficiently.

RELEVANT STRENGTH- We incorporate various beginner level strength exercises that include medicine balls, kettle bells, sleds, and resistance bands to develop functional strength. This will maximize each young athlete’s linear and lateral speed potential.

CONDITIONING- We include sport specific conditioning drills to improve work capacity and to ensure each athlete is prepared for their respective sport.

PREHAB- Our program will identify and correct muscular imbalances before an acute injury occurs.

NUTRITION EDUCATION- We provide each athlete with information on the importance of a healthy diet for success in both athletics and academics.

CHARACTER BUILDING- Each training session will leave each athlete feeling better both physically and mentally.

FLEXIBILITYThe ETS Flex Maxx Program is a world renowned post workout flexibility program that will address and eliminate the various movement deficiencies that young athlete’s typically have.
